Footcare professionals have been urged to join the upcoming Foot and Wound Care virtual events which aim to decrease the number of amputations caused by diabetes.
Diabetes Professional Care (DPC) has created the education series on their Digital Hub to tackle diabetes-related amputations by offering healthcare workers advice and solutions for each care sector, service managers and clinical leads.

The webinars will welcome top medical specialists and patient speakers to share the most effective treatment options for a diabetic foot.
Additionally, the virtual events will also share in-practice case studies and provide practical demonstrations to further educate healthcare professionals.
The upcoming free-to-attend CPD-accredited webinars will take place over the last two weeks of June 2021.
The education series will allow healthcare workers to offer better quality care for those with diabetes by updating their knowledge on the diabetic foot and wound care.
The virtual events have come after a successful DPC webinar took place earlier this year where Professor Gerry Rayman, Professor Partha Kar and Graham Bowen discussed the core findings of the GIRFT 2020 Report.
The positive reaction of the webinar has led to the DPC hosting this more detailed education series on the diabetic foot and wound care.
The upcoming DPC webinars will welcome a range of different speakers including: Pradeep Solanki, Paul Chadwick, Professor Mike Edmunds, Fatima Casim and Andrew Sharp.
