Podiatrists have been urged to complete a questionnaire to assess the variations in reporting and referral of heel ulcers when patients have diabetes.
The referral process survey is being conducted by Nichola Beard, Podiatry Diabetes Lead at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust and Diabetes UK Clinical Champion.
Answers will help the research team assess the need for a standardisation tool for use in heel wounds for people with diabetes.
The survey, which is also open to tissue viability nurses, takes around five minutes to complete – click to access the survey.
