The Podiatry Service in the North Staffordshire area are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Podiatrists registered with the Health Care Professions Council to join our Podiatry Services Team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The posts are permanent and we are recruiting to a full time role and will require the post holder to be flexible and able to work in a variety of locations across the Trust, as the service requires. The service covers a population of approximately 470,000; you will be working with a team of podiatrists and podiatry assistants.
The successful applicant will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, care planning, and delivering podiatry care to patients with a wide range of clinical needs. This includes biomechanics, diabetes, rheumatology, vascular, neuropathy, nail surgery and wound management.
You will be supported by our advanced practitioners. The service works closely with district nursing teams, tissue viability nurses, consultant lead multidisciplinary clinics, and local integrated teams.
The post holder must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work alone and as part of a team. Commitment to patient care is paramount as you will be assisting them in achieving their maximum potential. The post holder will be encouraged to take part in various CPD activities including clinical support, and in- house training during team meetings.
