Podiatrists without a non-medical prescribing qualification, may be considered for appointment at Band 6 if they meet the other requirements. On Successful completion and annotation of the non-medical prescribing qualification, they can then be considered for re-banding to Band 7.
After a recent recruitment and department re-organisation a rare opportunity has arisen for an Extended Scope Podiatrist to join our well-established diabetes foot service in Dorset. We will consider compressed hours or flexible working as long as it can align with the needs of the service. We may consider part-time working with a minimum of 30hrs per week
This is a progressive service with two Consultant Podiatrists leading the in-patient and out-patient management of people with diabetes related foot complications.
You will be working as part of the wider MDT, as well as providing expert clinical practice within the podiatry team. Your clinical work will be within the diabetes foot clinics at University Hospitals Dorset (Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals), but you will work closely with community podiatrists, community nurses and primary care teams.
The Successful candidate will have outstanding organisational and planning abilities to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks, be able to demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills alongside a good sense of humour and high levels of resilience, being a team player with good IT skills.
