Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated specialist podiatrist to join the well-established podiatry team within Aintree University Hospital (Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). Based within the Aintree Diabetes Centre at Aintree Hospital you will work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team in the management of highly complex diabetic and vascular foot complications and will be involved in our shared goal of providing excellence in diabetes foot care to this group of patients.

Focusing on supporting NICE guidelines, you will work both in the out-patient clinics and in-patient setting on the wards, working at an advanced level alongside Consultant colleagues in Diabetes, Vascular and Orthopaedic services. Part of your role will involve further developing the in-patient podiatry service, in particular the service to our two diabetes wards.

Currently we undertake three consultant led Diabetic Foot Clinics weekly within the Centre, together with weekly multi-disciplinary ward rounds and MDT clinical meetings.
