Are you an enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated, experienced NHS Podiatrist looking for a change of scenery ?
If so, we have an opportunity for you to join our friendly team of Podiatrists at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS foundation Trust Community Division. This Clinical Specialist Podiatrist post will take place at the community podiatry clinics within the Leigh footprint as well as regular domiciliary visits to residential homes or patients’ houses. The role may require travel to all Care Community bases due to service pressures.
You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent clinical and communication skills which are essential as you will be providing a quality service to ‘High Risk’ patients in a variety of settings .
The role will involve clinical assessment and treatment of patients referred to the Podiatry department.
As this is a Specialist Role you will need to have undertaken mentorship and gained experience in all aspects of podiatry and have developed excellent skills in these areas. You will need to have experience in wound care as this is the greatest proportion of our caseload. NHS experience is preferred.
This is a permanent part time role (30 hours) across Monday to Friday. Flexible requests will be considered.
Main duties of the job
Our podiatry caseload focuses on those who are medically at risk so consequently our patients tend to be complex with a variety of needs. We offer specialist podiatry clinics including Wound Management clinics, Nail Surgery and MSK Podiatry.
Work with other teams within the community division and wider neighbourhood to provide seamless care to patients.
We require a podiatrist who has excellent communication and assessment skills.
